Mrs. Georgia Hylton, age 73, of Raven, VA passed away Sunday October 2, 2016 following a brief illness. Born in West Virginia she was the daughter of the late James Harvey Adair and Mollie Belle Baldwin Adair. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years Leon Hylton; two brothers Harvey (Bugs) Adair and Henry Adair; daughter Beverly Hylton; great grandson Zechariah Lester and best friend Betty Jo Smith. Georgia was a member of the Gloryland Tabernacle at Shortt Gap, VA and was the manager of the Richlands Farm Bureau for many years.
Georgia is survived by son, Danny Hylton and wife Retta of Whitewood, VA; daughters Ruby McFall and husband Paul of Clintwood, VA, Rita Ford and husband Courtland of Bristol, VA, Regina Keen and husband Harold of Patterson, VA, Shelby Davis of Roanoke, VA, Shirley McClanahan and husband Bill of Swords Creek, VA, Shelia Henderson and husband Jeff of Union, OH and Keyerra Hylton of the home; brothers Otis Adair & wife Glenna of Dayton, OH and Crockett Adair & wife Patsy of Medway, OH; 14 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; best friend DungCha Mitchell and several nieces, nephews and many friends also survive.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 P.M. Wednesday Oct. 5, 2016 at the Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff, VA. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday Oct. 6, 2016 in the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, VA with Brother Don Smith and Brother Randy Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be Chester Long, Josh Long, Adam McClanahan, Aaron McClanahan, Rocky Kinder and Paul Short. Honorary Pallbearers will be Men of Gloryland Tabernacle Church. In lieu of Flowers donation can be made to Keyerra College Fund c/o National Bank 1905 Front Street, Richlands, VA 24641.
