Judy Katherine Lambert age 88, lifelong resident of Cedar Bluff, Virginia passed away Sunday, June 19, 2016 at her home. Born in Russell County, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Melvin Cox and Cora Musick Cox. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God Church in Cedar Bluff for many years. She was a mother with a big loving heart and she was the last member of her immediate family in her generation.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bernard Lambert; one son, John Emory Lambert; two grandsons, Israel Lambert and Eric Lambert; five sisters, Myrtle Tuggle, Edna Dye, Fonnie Noel, Ellen Elswick, Josie Plaster; three brothers, Sterling Cox, Nathan Cox and Toll Cox.
Mrs. Lambert is survived by two sons, Jim Ed Lambert of Belfast, VA and R.B. Lambert of Cedar Bluff, VA; six grandchildren, Haley Lambert, Adam Lambert, David Lambert, Jonathan Lambert, Amy Lambert, and Lindsey Lambert one great grandson, Jack Andrew Lambert,; very special nephew, Brian McGraw and very special friends Marion Luttrell, Joe and Connie McFarlane; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at the Singleton Funeral Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff, Virginia with the Rev. Phillip Horton, Rev. Bob Osborne and Rev. Ethel Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhills Memory Gardens Cemetery at Claypool Hill, VA. Pallbearers will be Brian McGraw, David Lambert, Jonathan Lambert, Ranny Blackburn, John Lambert, and Joe McFarlane.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. Tuesday at Singleton Funeral Service at Cedar Bluff, Virginia.
